What to expect
This blog is meant to document a weekend of learning about and experiencing the migration of Sandhill cranes. About 50,000 cranes migrate through the Platte River in Kearney, Neb., every year. This year, a small group of MU students is going to experience this annual event at the Rowe Sanctuary in Kearney, and hopefully, keep you the readers updated on all that we learn and see. There will be short stories explaining the history and importance of the migration, and also the first time experiences of the students. If technology allows, there will be photos, videos, and audio to add context. Check back Friday evening for the first posts of the trip!
